We have put looks of awe on the faces of children and brought smiles of a remembered childhood to adults, who once dreamed of being X-Wing pilots, scoundrels, aliens, and princesses. RL/501st Joint Event: 4th of July Parade
4 July 2009, Bristol, RI
Alderaan Base and the New England Garrison will be a part of the Bristol, Rhode Island's Fourth of July Celebration. Come out and enjoy the parade! First held in 1785, it is one of the oldest annual parades in the country.

RL/501st Joint Event: Auburn Summer Celebration
27 June 2009, Auburn, MA
Alderaan Base and the New England Garrison finally got to enjoy some sunny weather (rare, this summer!) as they made an appearance at the town of Auburn, MA's, Summer Celebration on Lemansky Field. Instantly one of the most popular attractions, they posed for photos with many fans, enjoyed interacting with the young and old alike, and comandeered the diamond for a brief pick-up game of baseball.

RL/501st Joint Event: Hasbro HQ Kid's Carnival
27 June 2009, Pawtucket, RI
Members of Alderaan Base, Kamino Base, and the New England Garrison appeared at the Kid's Carnival at Hasbro Headquarters in Pawtucket, RI. The toy-and-game industry giant had several games and activities available for children, and costumed members posed for photos with fans of all ages. Chewbacca, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Aayla Secura, and Darth Vader were among our most popular characters; other members were dressed as Jedi, Rebel Fleet Troopers, Stormtroopers, Royal Guards, and Sandtroopers. It was a fun-filled and rewarding troop for all, and we look forward to our next event with Hasbro.

RL/501st Joint Event: Bunker Hill Parade
14 June 2009, Charlestown, MA
This year, the rebels of Alderaan Base marched in the Bunker Hill Parade, fitting right in with some colonial rebels much closer to home. The parade commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought 17 June 1775, and circles the famous Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown. We have already been requested back for next year. RL/501st Joint Event: 2009 Granite State Comicon
31 May 2009, Manchester, NH
Members of the Rebel Legion's Alderaan Base and the New England Garrison of the 501st wowed the attendees of the Granite State ComicCon in Manchester, NH, held at the Radisson Hotel on Sunday, 31 May 2009. Generous fans donated canned goods in benefit of local shelters in exchange for photos with props and costumed characters. Thanks to all our fans for their support!

RL/501st Joint Event: 2009 Attleboro, MA Memorial Day Parade
May 25th, 2009 Attleboro, MA
On May 25th, 2009, Alderaan Base and the New England Garrison of the 501st joined forces to march through the streets of Attleboro, MA, as part of their annual Memorial Day parade. Many thanks to all our fans who greeted us with enthusiasm!

RL/501st Joint Event: Pawtucket Red Sox Star Wars Day
May 3rd, McCoy Stadium, Pawtucket, RI
The Pawsox had their first "Star Wars Day" on May 3rd at McCoy Stadium. We were there with members of the 501st NEG interacting with fans at the stadium. It would be an understatement to say the event was a huge success. Lord Vader, flanked by a column of Stormtroopers, threw out the first pitch. Many of our members could barely move for several hours, posing for countless pictures and writing dozens of autographs for swarms of adoring kids and fans of all ages. Many thanks to the Pawtucket Red Sox for their top notch hospitality and the 501st for extending the invite to the event. We've already been asked back for next season and we are sure to be there!
